Lightness of Being

Susanne Meyer Photography: Growing up in Germany provided me with a steady stream of opportunities to develop my artistic skills. An early passion for drawing and watercolor painting eventually led to my interest in digital photography. Telephoto and macro lenses opened my eyes to fascinating details of the natural wonders surrounding us. More recently, inspired by music, meditation and spiritual work I focused my photographic interest on creating abstract images. The technique I use can be described as painting with a camera. Most of the abstract pictures I produce are very colorful. They radiate light, warmth and harmony, making them very suitable for display in modern homes or healing environments. I am currently a member of the Santa Barbara Art Association and the Abstract Art Collective and am showing my art in local galleries.
